24ct Gold Plated 3Pence From 1950

This was sent to us and was originally gold plated but the quality was poor. We needed to polish this before gold plating it to get a good finish on it

The gentleman who brought this to us had got it made whilst on holiday. It was given to him gold plated but the quality was poor. It had a very minimal amount of gold on it and the underlying brass was tarnished so the quality was therefore poor.

We had to polish the 3pence back to a mirror finish before gold plating it to a very high quality as we do with all our work
